Point 1 - The Audit

When 3Points, LLC becomes your trusted technology advisor, and begins to provide products and services to your organization, it is the 3 Point process that will guarantee your satisfaction with our services. Before we begin servicing any technology for our new clients, 3Points offers to perform the first and most important step of our 3 Point process. This is known as the Audit.

During the Audit, 3Points will document all of your business technology, right down to the serial numbers and support contracts for your equipment and software. This detailed information will enable each of our network engineers to know how to access your systems, what the configurations of each system are, and how all of the systems are connected together. Having this information allows 3Points’ engineers to perform a comprehensive analysis of your IT systems, and with this information we are able to dramatically increase the speed in which assistance can be provided to you and your company.

At the conclusion of the Audit, 3Points’ LLC will provide you with a written synopsis of our findings. This document will list any risks you face, and any gaps in technology we discover during the Audit process. Within the report, these risks and gaps will be prioritized so you will know what items are critical to address in the near future, and which things might be nice to have, but are not necessary for the operation of your IT systems.

Finally, if you choose to pursue any of the recommendations that are made during the Audit, 3Points will provide you with cost and time estimates for each item; therefore enabling you to budget for any changes you may need to make. These estimates are provided to our clients on a fixed-price basis the majority of the time.

Point 2 - Standardization

Once the Audit is complete, and any system configuration changes or enhancements are known, 3Points, LLC takes the next logical step and addresses any issues that were discovered. Sometimes these issues require additional hardware and software, and other times the systems we encounter are only in need of industry standard configurations.

At the beginning of each relationship, it is important for us to perform standardization services on the systems we become responsible for, if these systems were not previously maintained to the proper specifications. During this process we make configuration changes to various system components as dictated by best-practices and manufacturer-specifications. These changes tend to rapidly stabilize the systems we service since these systems are designed to be configured in a standardized manner.

A follow-on benefit to system standardization is the ease of maintenance of your systems. Once your systems are configured to industry best-practices and manufacturers-specifications, each of our network engineers are able to become familiar with, and provide services on, your systems. This is true even though these engineers may only service your systems a few times per year.

Sometimes larger scale upgrades and enhancements are needed, especially if you are moving to a new location, growing or have technology that is no longer supported by the original manufacturer. This is when 3Points’ Project Services will be provided to your company. 3Points, LLC maintains a highly trained and equipped team of Project Engineers who provide all of the Project Services to our clients.
